The trek takes around 20-22 days to complete and is a moderately challenging trek that requires a good level of fitness and previous trekking experience. The trek starts from Arughat and takes you through the beautiful and rugged landscapes of the Manaslu region, where you can witness some of the most spectacular mountain views in the world.

  • Day 01

    Arrival at Kathmandu

    Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will pick you up at the airport and drive to the assigned hotel where you will meet the rest of the group. The hotel is located in a quiet quaint neighborhood, where you can enjoy shopping, restaurants, and cafes.

    You will be at an altitude of 1,400 meters (4,593 feet), where you can rest and acclimatize to the altitude.

    Please look for the I.A.M TREKKING board at the opposite railing of the terminal.

  • Day 02

    Trek preparation day in Kathmandu

    On this day, you will have a free day in Kathmandu to prepare for the trek. You can do some sightseeing around the city, get any last-minute gear, and attend a pre-trek meeting with your guide.

    Drive to Macha Khola (870m)

    After breakfast, you will drive to Macha Khola (870m), a small village located on the banks of the Buri Gandaki River. The drive takes around 7-8 hours and passes through beautiful landscapes, small villages, and rice paddies.

    Trek to Jagat (1290m)

    After breakfast, you will begin the trek by crossing the Macha Khola and continuing along the Buri Gandaki River. You will pass through small villages and climb up to Jagat (1290m), a picturesque village with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

    Trek to Nile (3332m)

    Hike to Mu Gumba (2700m) - back to Chhokung Paro

You will also visit the Pungi Gompa, a beautiful monastery located at an altitude of 3900 meters. The trek takes around 7 hours.

    Trek to Birendra Lake and Manaslu Base camp (4400m) back to Sama Gaon

    On this day, you will hike to Birendra Lake, a beautiful high-altitude lake located at an altitude of 4400 meters. From here, you will continue to the Manaslu Base Camp, where you can enjoy stunning views of Manaslu and its surrounding peaks. After spending some time at the base camp, you will trek back to Sama Gaun.

    Trek to Samdo (3860m)

    You will begin the day by trekking to the village of Samdo (3860m) The trail climbs up steeply, passing through forests of juniper and birch. You will also pass through several traditional Tibetan villages and enjoy stunning views of Manaslu and its surrounding peaks. The trek takes around 4 hours.

    Trek to Dharmashala Phedi (4480 m)

    Today, you will trek to Dharmashala Phedi (4480m), a small village located at an altitude of 4480 meters. The trek is relatively short, taking around 4 hours, but it is also quite steep and challenging.

  • Day 18

    Trek to Larkey pass (5213m) to Bimthang (3720m)

    On this day, you will cross the Larkey Pass, the highest point of the trek at an altitude of 5213 meters. The trail climbs steeply up to the pass, and you may encounter snow and ice along the way. From the pass, you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding peaks. After crossing the pass, you will descend to the village of Bimthang, located at an altitude of 3720 meters. The trek takes around 8-9 hours.

  • Day 20

    Trek to Darapani (1860m) drive to Bandipur (1030m)

    On day 20, you will trek for 2-3 hours from Gho village to Darapani, which is situated at an altitude of 1,860 meters. Darapani is a small village with some tea houses and shops. After arriving in Darapani, you will then take a drive to Bandipur, which takes about 6 hours. 

    Bandipur is a beautiful Newari village located in the Tanahun district of Nepal. The village is known for its traditional Newari architecture, temples, and stunning views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival, you can explore the village's narrow streets, visit the temples and monasteries, and enjoy the scenic views.

    There are also some small shops and cafes where you can relax and enjoy the local food and drink. In the evening, you can enjoy a cultural show performed by the locals and have a peaceful night's sleep in one of the traditional guesthouses.
