This is the most challenging day of the trek, as we will be summiting Island Peak. We wake up early in the morning and have our breakfast. We then start our ascent towards the summit. The climb is steep and involves some technical sections, so we will be using climbing equipment such as ropes, harnesses, and crampons. The final ascent to the summit involves a steep snow slope, and we will need to use our ice axe and crampons to reach the top. From the summit, we will enjoy spectacular views of the Himalayas, including Lhotse, Makalu, and Baruntse. After spending some time at the summit, we descend back to the Island Peak Base Camp and then continue our trek back to Chhukung for the night.
