Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trek

  • Day 01

    Arrival at Kathmandu

    Upon arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our representative who will assist you in transferring to your hotel. After some rest, you can explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu and visit popular tourist attractions such as the historic Durbar Square, the famous Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), and the Boudhanath Stupa.

  • Day 02

    Trek preparation day

    This day will be dedicated to preparing for the trek. You will meet your guide and fellow trekkers, and receive a briefing about the trek. You will also have time to purchase any necessary gear or equipment, and pack your bags accordingly.

  • Day 03

    Fly to Lukla - Trek to Phakding - 3,440 meters

    You will take an early morning flight to Lukla, which offers spectacular views of the Himalayan range. Upon arrival, you will meet your porter and start your trek to Phakding. The trail descends towards the Dudh Kosi River, and you will pass through several small villages and cross suspension bridges along the way. You will also catch glimpses of the beautiful Mount Thamserku (6,623m). After around 3 hours of trekking, you will reach Phakding, where you will stay overnight in a teahouse.

  • Day 04

    Trek to Namche - 3,440 meters

    After breakfast, you will continue your trek towards Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Everest region. The trail follows the Dudh Kosi River and crosses several suspension bridges before reaching the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. After completing the necessary formalities, the trail gradually ascends through pine forests and passes by the villages of Benkar, Monjo, and Jorsale. After crossing another suspension bridge, you will begin a steep climb that leads you to the vibrant town of Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan range, and you will have the opportunity to explore the town's markets and shops. Overnight stay will be in a teahouse in Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 05

    Hike to Everest View Hotel, Khumjung village - 3,790 meters

    On day 5, you will hike to the Everest View Hotel, which offers a stunning view of the Mount Everest range. You will also visit Khumjung village, a beautiful Sherpa village known for its cultural significance and hospitality. This hike will take approximately 4-5 hours. 
    You will start the day with an early breakfast and then set out for the hike to Everest View Hotel. The trail takes you through the dense forest of rhododendron and pine trees, and you will cross several suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. As you ascend, the views of the surrounding mountains, including Thamserku, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse, become more and more impressive. Finally, you will arrive at the Everest View Hotel, which offers an unobstructed view of Mount Everest. 
    After spending some time at the hotel, you will hike down to Khumjung village. Here, you can visit the Khumjung Monastery, which houses a skull believed to be that of a Yeti. You can also interact with the friendly locals and learn about their traditional way of life.

  • Day 06

    Trek to Dhole - 4,200 meters

    On day 6, you will continue your trek to Dhole, which is located at an altitude of 4,200 meters. The trek will take approximately 6-7 hours. 
    You will start the day by crossing a suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River and then climb steeply uphill to Mong La Pass. From here, you will descend to the Phortse Thanga village, where you can take a break and have lunch. After lunch, the trail ascends steeply through the rhododendron forest until you reach Dhole.

  • Day 07

    Trek to Machhermo - 4,470 meters

    On day 7, you will trek to Machhermo, which is located at an altitude of 4,470 meters. The trek will take approximately 4-5 hours. 
    You will start the day by trekking through the forest of rhododendron and juniper trees. The trail ascends steeply to Luza village, which offers a fantastic view of the Cho Oyu mountain. You will then continue the trek through the Dudh Koshi Valley and cross several bridges before arriving at Machhermo.

  • Day 08

    Trek to Gokyo - 4,800 meters

    On day 8, you will trek to Gokyo, which is located at an altitude of 4,800 meters. The trek will take approximately 4 hours. 
    You will start the day by trekking along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several bridges and enjoying the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. You will then climb a steep hill and cross a glacier to reach Gokyo. Gokyo is a beautiful village located near the Gokyo Lakes, and you can spend the rest of the day exploring the area.

  • Day 09

    Trek to Gokyo Ri - Back to Gokyo - 5,357 meters

    On day 9, you will hike to Gokyo Ri, which is located at an altitude of 5,357 meters. The hike will take approximately 2-3 hours. 
    You will start the day early in the morning to reach the summit of Gokyo Ri in time to witness the sunrise over the mountains. The hike to the summit is steep and challenging, but the view from the top is breathtaking. You will see a panoramic view of the Himalayan range, including Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, and Makalu. After enjoying the view, you will hike back down to Gokyo.

  • Day 10

    Trek through Renjo La pass - 5,360 meters to Lumde - 4,380 meters

    : After breakfast, we will start our trek through Renjo La pass to Lumde. We will begin our ascent through the high altitude trail surrounded by the stunning mountainscape. The Renjo La pass is a challenging yet rewarding trek, as we will reach an altitude of 5,360 meters. The trail is steep, rocky, and narrow, but we will be surrounded by the majestic views of the Himalayas. We will cross the pass and descend down to Lumde village for overnight stay.

  • Day 11

    Trek to Namche

    From Lumde, we will trek to Namche Bazaar. The trail descends gradually and offers the beautiful view of the mountains along the way. We will cross several suspension bridges and small streams as we make our way to Namche. Namche Bazaar is the main trading center of the Khumbu region and is known for its traditional Sherpa culture and hospitality.

  • Day 12

    Trek to Lukla

    Today, we will trek back to Lukla through the same route that we took on our way up.   • Day 13

    Fly back to Kathmandu

    In the morning, we will catch a flight back to Kathmandu, which will take around 35 minutes. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we will transfer to the hotel and have some time to rest and freshen up. In the evening, we will explore the city and have a farewell dinner with our trekking crew.

    Final departure transfer to TIA airport
