Ghorepani Khopra Danda Itinerary

  • Day 01

    Arrival at Kathmandu - Altitude: 1,400 meters / 4,593 feet

    Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will pick you up at the airport and drive to the assigned hotel where you will meet the rest of the group. The hotel is located in a quiet quaint neighborhood, where you can enjoy shopping, restaurants, and cafes.

    You will be at an altitude of 1,400 meters (4,593 feet), where you can rest and acclimatize to the altitude.

    Please look for the I.A.M TREKKING board at the opposite railing of the terminal.

  • Day 02

    Drive/Flight to Pokhara (820 m | 2,690 ft)

    Today, you will embark on a scenic drive or flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, a beautiful lakeside city. The road journey offers picturesque views of rural landscapes, rivers, and hills. Once in Pokhara, you can relax by the lakeside or take a stroll around the city.

    Drive to Kimche (1550 m) & Trek to Ghandruk (1,940 m)

    After an early breakfast in Pokhara, you will drive to Kimche (1550m) From Kimche, you will start your trek towards Ghandruk (1940m) a traditional Gurung village. The trail offers stunning views of terraced fields, lush forests, and the Annapurna mountain range. You will spend the night in Ghandruk, experiencing the local culture and hospitality.

    Acclimatization day | Excursion to Kharay lake viewpoint (3,660 m | 12,008 ft.)

    Today is an acclimatization day to help your body adjust to the higher altitude. You can hike to the viewpoint at Kharay Lake, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. After enjoying the views, you will return to Khopra for overnight stay.

Ghorepani is known for its stunning sunrise view over the Himalayas, so you can look forward to a magical morning.

  • Day 09

    Trek to Poon Hill (3,210 m | 10,531 ft.), descent to Ulleri (1,960 m | 6,430 ft.) & drive back to Pokhara

    Before dawn, you will embark on a short hike to Poon Hill (3210m), one of the best vantage points to witness the sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. After soaking in the breathtaking views, you will return to Ghorepani for breakfast and then continue your trek to Ulleri. From Ulleri, you will drive back to Pokhara, where you can relax and rejuvenate.
