We are dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about showing you the very best Nepal has to offer. We have more than 25 trekking tours, high altitude expeditions and more available. We have a year round team of mountain guides in our employment. Each of our guides has at least 7 to 25 years of experience in serving our clients on various expeditions, everything from trekking to guiding on the highest peaks in the world. Many of our guides speak multiple languages.
All of our guides are Government registered and very well trained in their field, many of our guides have summited Everest multiple times. With many years of accumulated experienced in this sector, we are experts in handling a wide variety of tours such as trekking and mountaineering, jungle excursion, river rafting, ticketing, incentive and culture tours.

Pemba Jangbu Sherpa

Pemba Jangbu Sherpa
Pemba Jangbu, born 1986, looks back to exeptional career in the Expedition Business. His father, also a well-known climber, placed him on his first trekking trip in 2000 as a porter when he was fourteen. Pemba quickly moved on to become a mountain guide, leading expeditions for the past two decades. Since then he climbed Everest (8,850m) six times, Makalu (8,463m) two times, Cho Oyu (8,201m), Broad Peak (8,047m), K2 (8,611m) one time. Below 8000m Pemba has climbed Gyazhikang (7,038m) three times, Putha Hinchuli (7,246m) five times, Baruntse (7,238m), Ama Dablam (6,812m). Pemba Jangbu has travelled almost everywhere in Nepal and has been to Europe, India and several times to Tibet, China, Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan. Pemba Jangbu is a reponsible, charismatic leader and a perfect organizer. That's why he became one of the youngest sirdars within the Sherpa climbers community. He worked in this function on over 50 climbing expeditions. Pemba is very proud of the fact that none of his clients have ever lost their life in the mountains whilst under his care as a guide and the same is also true of all IAMTreks (International Altitude Mountaineering) clients since it was founded. His highest priority is the safety of his clients.
For many years Pemba led many expeditions for the former Nepali market leader Thamserku. He was highly requested by reknown clients like AMICAL etc.. During his time he found out many things he wanted to optimize that was the key motivation for founding his own company. Pemba Jangbu has huge network of friends throughout Nepal varying from pilots to climbing sherpas, from airline agents to tibetan yak drivers and from diplomats to businessmen. If you know Pemba you simply don’t have to worry about anything.
In recent years Pemba became the first person ever to complete the East Nepal GHT (Great Himalayan Trail) in Winter. I IAMTreks has also launched an international expedition to Kyrgyzstan to climb Lenin Peak (7134m) where the IAMTreks brings up to 15 guides. Pemba has completed two ascents of Peak Lenin (7134m)

Funuru Sherpa
Funuru is the academic educated counterpart of the expedition proven sirdar Pemba Jangbu. Also grown up in Khumbus Dudh Khosi Valley. Funuru only joined trekking groups from time to time during holidays but learned proper English and German instead. Funuru has a degree in Tourism Management at Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu.
He has been working in two successful Trekking companies before being responsible for the B2B business with well-known international partners. There he made connections and found ways to speed up processes in Kathmandus temples of bureaucracy. Funuru has travelled to Europe several times that’s why he understands the demands of our clients and always finds the best solutions. No matter it is an effort able, quiet and good located hotel, permits for small expeditions into Tibet or an emergency flight from Kanchenjunga to Kathmandu. In addition, Funurus love for Nepal extends passed the mountains to the people. He works as a volunteer for a nonprofit organization "Empower Nepali Girls." Helping empower and support neglected, marginalized, and at-risk girls and young women in Nepal.
